As a General Engineer in our projects team, you will play a key role in plant upgrades, new equipment installations, fabrication of new plant and continuous improvement projects across our heavy industrial manufacturing sites. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of technically challenging initiatives, including an exciting large-scale project that is the first of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere.

Working closely with engineering, production, contractors, and leadership teams, your responsibilities will include:

  • End-to-end delivery of plant upgrade and installation projects
  • Fabrication of new plant.
  • Supporting design reviews, equipment selection, and technical specifications
  • Supporting installation, commissioning, and handover of new plant and machinery
  • Supporting continuous improvement opportunities across existing assets

This is a hands-on and highly visible role offering variety and the opportunity to contribute to landmark industrial projects within a high-performing operation.

Our ideal candidate:

  • A practical, safety-focused engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment and seeing projects through from concept to completion.
  • Has the ability to read and follow drawings.
  • Be competent in MIG and stick welding.
  • Be reliable, punctual and willing to work long hours when required.
  • You will bring proven engineering or project delivery experience within heavy industry, manufacturing, or large-scale industrial environments, ideally gained in New Zealand or Australia.

 You will also demonstrate:

  • Strong project coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Experience delivering plant upgrades, installations, or capital projects
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Clear communication skills
