Join our vibrant and fast-paced Finance and Administration team as a Graduate Accountant. In this role, you’ll dive into Management Reporting for the entire KGR Group, while offering essential financial support to our Business Managers and the wider Administration team.

This role provides hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting and gives you valuable insights into company accountings. It’s an ideal starting point for anyone aspiring to become a Management Accountant, offering a solid foundation to build your career.

Additionally, this position supports your professional growth, with opportunities to begin or complete your Chartered Accountant qualification. We understand the importance of work-life balance, so we offer flexible hours and start/finish times to suit your needs.

Our team are based in Kennington, just 10 minutes from the Invercargill CBD.

Your responsibilities would include: 

  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and month-end processes
  • Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing and reconciliations 
  • Ensuring IRD compliance including GST, PAYE and FBT
  • Assisting with the preparation of the weekly/fortnightly payroll processing

Our ideal candidate is a quick learner who isn't afraid to ask questions, shows initiative and thrives within a team environment by bringing focus, enthusiasm, and exceptional communication skills. In support of your tertiary-level degree or qualification in finance or accounting, you should also possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
