Future Director - Elementx
This is an outstanding opportunity to join the board of ElementX as a Future Director. Founded in 2013, ElementX is an AI software agency and one of New Zealand’s longest established service providers in the Artificial Intelligence space. The company is in a growth phase, expanding its professional services, growing its enterprise client base, exploring various opportunities in the local and global markets, and licensing a proprietary AI product.
The board is made up of one independent and three executive directors (the co-founders) with board secretarial services outsourced.
Our Future Director must have the following:
- An in depth understanding of technology; software products are of particular benefit
- Experience within professional services and/or consulting
- An interest in Governance and an understanding of Intellectual Property
Some exposure to any of the following could be highly beneficial:
- Familiarity with the higher education sector
- A good understanding of the tertiary student experience
- Business networks and experience within large New Zealand enterprises
- Sales and marketing, particularly sales channel related

Board meetings:
Board meetings are held monthly (eleven per annum), and are a mixture of online and in person in Auckland. Up to 2 days per meeting cycle will be required for reading board papers and preparation.
Remuneration and/or expenses covered:
You will be remunerated appropriately for the role and pre-approved expenses will be reimbursed. ElementX will support your governance experience development.
Term and commencement date:
This is a 12 month appointment with a commencement date of 1st September 2025.
