Mainland Frame and Truss are proudly New Zealand owned and operated, with over 50 years in the building industry we specialise in manufacturing high-quality pre-nailed timber wall frames and roof trusses to exact specifications. Our reputation has been built on solid service, precision, and a team-first attitude. With a brand-new purpose-built Frame and Truss Plant in Kennington and a growing workload, we are looking for a reliable, motivated individual to join our office team.

We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, commercially minded, and eager to build a long-term career in Pricing and Estimating.
The core responsibilities of Pricing and Estimating will include:
- Reviewing and interpreting architectural and structural plans
- Preparing accurate project estimates and quotations
- Calculating material requirements and project costs
- Designing roof trusses using PrydaBuild software
- Presenting pricinginformation and proposals to customers
- Building strong relationships with builders, merchants, and internal teams
- Assisting with continuous improvement and process development
- Supporting detailing and design functions when required

Our ideal candidate will be dependable, practical, and take genuine pride in a job well done. They will be confident using computers, comfortable learning new software and systems, and able to prioritise tasks while adapting to changing workload demands. The ability to read and interpret building plans is desirable, although we are equally open to candidates who demonstrate the aptitude and willingness to learn.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential, as this role involves working closely with customers, builders, merchants, and our onsite team. Experience in pricing and estimating would be advantageous, but it is not essential. We recognise that talented people come from a wide range of backgrounds, including construction, building supplies, administration, customer service, and the trades.
