Port Otago’s business is made up of a regional container terminal, multiple Supply Chain facilities, bulk port activities, cruise and property investment/development. We service South Canterbury, Otago, and Southland, working with customers to streamline their supply chains. Our culture is hands-on, safety focused and encourages continuous improvement.

Here at Port, there is always something on the go and as a business we are collaborative, fast-paced and always open.

About the Role

This is a hands-on the wheel, permanent, full-time role where no two days look the same.

• Timely loading and unloading of rail, trucks and shipping containers to ensure customers’ demands are met.

• Accurately receipting, dispatching, and managing stock across Port Otago warehouse using our Warehouse Management Systems.

You will join our team on a permanent, full-time basis, which will include:

· Guaranteed 40 hours per week, with overtime available when shipping and supply chain ramp up – including some weekend and shift work.

· The potential to work at any of our warehouses based in Port Chalmers, Sawyers Bay or Dunedin (Cold Stores), working with various products such as Fish, Dairy and Timber.

· Enjoy being part of a team and take real pride in shared success.

· Are reliable, adaptable and keep a level head when things get busy.

· Treat people with respect and look for solutions, not just problems.

Previous experience operating forklifts is preferred, but not essential as we will provide full training to any successful candidates and support you to gain your Forklift Operators Certificate.
