Forklift Operator - Fixed Term
Napier Port, located in Napier, Hawke’s Bay, is New Zealand’s fourth-largest port, providing a range of marine, handling, and logistical services. Our Warehousing Operations Team plays a vital role in maintaining operational excellence.
We have an opportunity for a Forklift Driver to join the Warehousing team on a 14-month fixed term contract.
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor Warehousing, day-to-day, you’ll be busy working on:
- Safely operating forklifts and other materials‑handling equipment within the port and warehousing environment
- Loading, unloading, stacking, and movement of cargo, and palletised freight
- Supporting truck operations to ensure efficient cargo flow
- Completing pre‑start checks and basic equipment care, reporting faults promptly
- Accurately recording movements and completing required documentation and system entries
- Working collaboratively with, logistics, and warehousing teams to meet operational deadlines
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping at all times.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- A great attitude
- A full Class 1 drivers’ licence with F endorsement
- Current OSH certificate
- A class 5 driver licence would be advantageous
