This Role
We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver to join our Hawke’s Bay team. This is an important role supporting day-to-day warehouse and production operations, ensuring product is moved, stored, and dispatched efficiently and accurately. You will play an important part in maintaining food safety, quality standards, and smooth workflow across the site.
You will work as part of a small but critical team of three drivers and will be trained in both Dispatch & Inward duties. From time to time, you may also be required to support processing operations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
· Operating forklifts safely and efficiently across the site
· Loading and unloading trucks, including local and long-haul deliveries
· Loading and unloading shipping containers
· Moving, stacking, and storing product in chillers, freezers and storage areas
· Staging product and materials for production and dispatch
· Completing basic paperwork and system entries accurately
· Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work environment
· Following all health & safety and food safety requirements
What You’ll Bring
· Current OSH forklift licence
· Proven recent experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing environment
· Sound computer skills with strong numeracy and literacy abilities
· Strong awareness of health & safety practices
· Good attention to detail and ability to follow processes
· A reliable work ethic and positive team attitude
· Flexibility with hours and willingness to support wider operations when required
