This Role
We are on the hunt for a Food Technologist who can lead new product development, drive continuous improvement, and support compliance and training. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same – from creating new products to improving processes and ensuring our site runs safely and smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ideas from concept to commercialisation
- Source ingredients and packaging, run trials, and validate shelf life
- Prepare accurate costings and manage project timelines
- Support compliance with MPI, Food Act, and customer standards
- Lead site training and maintain SOP’s
- Identify projects to reduce cost and improve efficiency
- Be a key player in health and safety leadership
- This role is a growth opportunity where you will train to support management when needed, gaining insight into key operational areas.
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in food science or technology
- You could be a recent graduate or be more experienced – we are looking for the best fit for our team
- Experience in product development
- Strong knowledge of food safety and compliance
- Great organisational and project management skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- It would be a bonus if you have had some exposure to Health & Safety (not essential)
