Simply Food Solutions Imports is seeking a detail-driven Quality Compliance Specialist to support our imported food portfolio and Quality Management Systems. This is a critical role ensuring our products meet all regulatory, food safety, and quality expectations across New Zealand. 

  Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance of imported food products with NZ legislation and MPI requirements  
• Conduct supplier and product risk assessments for new and existing products  
• Maintain food safety records, certifications, and specifications  
• Manage customer complaints, investigations, and corrective actions  
• Lead product recalls and mock recalls from initiation to close-out  
• Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of Quality Management Systems  
• Conduct verification activities including sensory testing, quality checks, and audits

  About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Applied Science, or a related discipline
• 2–4 years’ experience in a quality, food safety, or compliance role within a fast-paced environment (food & beverage or manufacturing environment)
• Working knowledge of relevant food safety legislation and site policies, with a willingness to continue learning
• Exposure to GMP manufacturing environments, internal system audits with third party and customer food safety audits with practical experience supporting HACCP, RMP, YUM and/or BRC standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders across the business
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly in document and records management
• Ability to follow procedures, identify issues, and escalate appropriately
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset with a practical, solutions-focused approach
• Positive attitude and interest in continuous improvement and professional development
