The Position: 

 We are seeking Process Workers / Machine Operators to join our meat processing facility located in Mt Wellington, Auckland.

Reporting to the Supervisor, you will play an important role in ensuring the production of high-quality products. Your duties will include machine operation, manual handling, product packing and labelling, and stock management. You will be required to follow strict standard operating procedures and maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety at all times. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.

The operating hours are between 6:00am and 5:00pm, Monday to Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Applicants must be flexible with start and finish times, with the opportunity to work additional hours as required. Occasional weekend work may also be required.

Skills Required:

  • Previous food processing experience is an advantage but not essential, as full training will be provided.
  • A valid fork hoist licence and relevant experience would be advantageous. 
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual handling tasks, as the role involves regular heavy lifting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure products meet required quality standards.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to promoting and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.
