Mō te tūranga: About the role
This is a fixed term role until 30 June 2026 rostered on a 9-day fortnight. One weekend (Saturday and Sunday) off per fortnight. Hours are 9am to 5pm with a 30minute lunch break.
This is an active role, and you will be on your feet all day, thriving on the variety the role will bring.
This role welcomes all visitors to Te Nukuao Wellington Zoo, ensuring visitors are set up to have a fantastic visit, helping to create excitement and providing visitors with information they need to have a wonderful time. They are the welcoming face of the Zoo and farewell visitors after their visit, reinforcing the Zoo’s value of manaakitanga.
Visitor Service Advisors also promote and sell our Zoo products including Close Encounters, Zoo Venues, Zoo Crew memberships and retail products. There is also work with bookings and sales online and via phone.
You may also be given the opportunity to help with the occasional evening event during the week, which is optional.
