About the Role:
BestStart Mount Eden is seeking a hungry, ambitious, and dedicated Qualified and Registered Teacher to join our tight-knit team. This is a fixed-term position working 40 hours per week until 11 September 2026.
What We’re Looking For
We are searching for a teacher who is passionate about striving for the best in early childhood education. You’ll bring:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teacher registration/certification.
- A strong understanding of child-led learning, curriculum planning, and extending children’s interests.
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, embedding cultural responsiveness in your practice.
- Knowledge of ECE regulations, Te Whāriki, and a high regard for compliance.
Role Requirements:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration
- Strong understanding of child-led curriculum and the ability to extend children’s learning
- Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi in pedagogical practices
- Solid knowledge of current ECE Regulations and Te Whāriki, maintaining high compliance standards
- Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences
