Are you a detail-oriented professional with exceptional organisational skills?  Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, have an eye for detail and provide seamless administrative support? We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer - Water Billing to join our dynamic team!

As a Finance Officer - Water Billing, you will play a crucial role in preparing the Water Meter readings files to send out to the contractors to enable smooth reading of meters, processing of the Water Billing invoices on a monthly basis. and liaise with contractors about water meter readings and meter enquires.  You will be responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and contributing to the overall success of our Water Billing function within the finance team.

You will need to have flexibility and experience in providing Rates enquiries assistance when needed and provide back up to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable when required.  

This role is a fixed term 12-month full time contract.

You, as the ideal candidate will be energetic, dynamic and people focused. You'll have a high level of computer literacy and attention to detail, as well as be proactive by nature and anticipate what comes next. 

This role would suit someone with a finance and administrative background and have an understanding on how the Water Meters monthly life cycle is processed.  An understanding and experience with Rates, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable would be necessary. You will have the ability to streamline and improve processes where possible to better both staff and customer experience. Previous experience in local government would be an advantage but is not essential.
