At BestStart Ōmokoroa, our curriculum is a play-based tamariki lead curriculum, guided by the NZ ECE curriculum Te Whāriki, Te tiriti o Waitangi and Te Pūtiki wharenui a Tamatea 2020. We embrace all tamariki as we provide an authentic, culturally diverse and inclusive curriculum by acknowledging the diverse heritage and needs of all tamariki and their whanau.
This is a fixed-term position working 40 hours per week until 9th January 2026.

We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Holds a B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current teaching certification
- Understands and applies a child-led curriculum with confidence
- Has strong knowledge of ECE regulations and Te Whāriki, and is committed to compliance
- Embeds Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles into daily practice
- Is passionate, reflective, and committed to providing high-quality learning experiences
