Position Title: Fitness Instructor and Lifeguard

We have an exciting opportunity for an energetic person to join our team as a Fitness Instructor and Lifeguard. This role is key in enhancing our members wellness and maintaining the facility on a day to day basis. This is a permanent, full-time position. Maintaining ongoing relationships with kaimahi (staff), ākonga (students) and manuhiri (visitors) to the facility is crucial therefore, experience in dealing with customers is a must.
Ngā mahi | Key Responsibilities
• Running group fitness sessions, programming for users
• Gym and Pool maintenance
• Lifeguarding
• Reception duties
• Supervision of the centre
He kōrero mōu | About You
You bring:
• A minimum certificate level 4 is essential in fitness, personal training, exercise, coaching or sport and recreation
• Excellent communication skills, particularly at an interpersonal level
• Good customer service skills
• Superb motivational skills
• Ability and willingness to support teaching staff in and around the fitness centre environment
