An exciting opportunity now exists to join one of New Zealand’s most well respected and trusted companies as a Financial Accountant.  Your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate and timely financial and business support to the company and its stakeholders in the areas of assets accounting (both tangible and intangible) including budget, forecasts, policy development, implementation and monitoring. 

We are looking for someone that is driven by a passion for delivering high quality results.  You will be a proactive self-starter with excellent attention to detail that ensures you are able to help the wider business achieve their future goals. 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting regular financial reviews (corporate and divisional)
  • Participation in the month end reporting process
  • Custodianship of the Company’s fixed asset registers
  • Providing expert knowledge, support and training to Company's internal stakeholders in relation to capital expenditure and fixed/intangible assets 
  • Ensuring that all Company policies in relation to fixed and intangible assets are current and up to date
  • Leading the capital budgeting process

We pride ourselves on our people so to be successful in the role you will need: 

  • Qualified CA or CPA with 5+ years commercial experience (ideal but not essential)
  • Previous experience in compliance and assets
  • A team player and a self-starter who is results driven with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Skillful in problem solving and solution finding
  • Exceptional time management skills
