The Opportunity:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for financial operations, providing insights and analysis to help drive the performance of the company. As a member of the Leadership Team, you will actively contribute to the strategic direction of the company.

This is a hands-on position requiring strong financial accounting and reporting skills, with the ability to meet regular reporting deadlines. You will be directly responsible for a team of two. 

In addition to technical ability and experience, applicants need to be problem solvers, team players, have good communication skills, and a strong customer service focus.

This role is suitable either for an experienced Finance Manager, or for someone wanting to take that next step in their career.

Key points about the role:

  • Permanent role at 30 - 37.5 hours per week, negotiable
  • Hybrid working available for this role
  • Based in Havelock North, Hawke's Bay
  • Financial Year runs on a calendar year basis

Key responsibilities:

  • Management Reporting - responsible for the Group reporting
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Tax, Treasury, Insurance and Risk Management
  • Payroll, Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Stock, Systems, Internal Controls and Processes.
  • Management of a Finance Team

About you:

  • Minimum 5 Years Accounting experience, preferably in FMCG, pharmaceutical or manufacturing sectors, including preparation of Monthly Management Accounts and Financial Statements.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
  • Accounting Qualification, CA or CPA (preferred).
  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical capability.
  • Able to work in NZ.
