 Are you ready to use your financial expertise to influence major investment decisions that support the future of healthcare? As our Finance Business Partner – Property & Development, you’ll work closely with senior leaders to provide the insight and guidance that supports significant capital investment across our hospital network. Reporting to the Senior Finance Business Partner, you’ll deliver meaningful financial analysis that helps shape strategic decisions around property development, infrastructure, and major investment initiatives across Southern Cross Healthcare.

You’ll play an important role in business partnering and performance management, supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis while delivering financial insights that help leaders make confident, data-driven decisions. Through close collaboration with colleagues, stakeholders and project teams, you’ll help ensure major investment initiatives are supported by strong financial governance and clear commercial insight.

This role is about translating financial information into meaningful insights that support better decision-making and long-term value. You’ll identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen financial controls, and optimise the use of resources across our organisation. By building strong relationships and providing trusted financial advice, you’ll help support sustainable growth and the continued delivery of high-quality healthcare services across all of Southern Cross Healthcare.

  Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako  | Skills and experience

  • Strong financial expertise – at least 7 years’ experience in financial accounting, commercial finance, or business partnering within a medium-to-large organisation.
  • Advanced technical capability – highly proficient in Excel with experience using enterprise financial systems such as Technology One, MS Dynamics, Oracle, SAP, or JDE.
  • Commercial and strategic insight – strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate insights into clear recommendations for leadership teams.
  • Business partnering capability – proven experience working closely with operational leaders to support performance management, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making.
  • Capital project and investment exposure – experience supporting project accounting, capital programmes, or construction-related financial management will be highly regarded.
  • Communication and influencing skills – ability to present financial insights clearly and confidently to senior stakeholders, including preparation of board and management reporting.
  • Professional credentials – a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with CAANZ (or equivalent) professional accreditation preferred.
