Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Administrator to join our team at Wellington Hospital. This position has become available due to our colleague moving abroad. 

  • As a member of the hospital admin team, be a professional and customer focused finance administrator.
  • Actively participate in supporting the hospital, finance and specialist centre administrators to ensure a seamless service for patients, staff, specialists and visitors.
  • Responsible for accurate invoicing of customers, such as patients, insurance companies, ACC, Health NZ / Te Whatu Ora and other funders.
  • Complete price indications (estimates) in a timely manner for patients and funders.
  • Able to step in and cover for others during periods of planned and unplanned absence, including accounts payable or other financial or admin team roles.
  • Management of shared mailboxes, data entry, scanning and filing.
  • Accurate receipting of accounts and revenue processing.
  • Actively manage\ debtors to ensure payments are received as soon as possible.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience

  • Prior experience of working in a small accounts team, ideally in a healthcare environment, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and general ledger.
  • High level of computer literacy, including intermediate MS Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship and communication skills.
