About the Role

This permanent full‑time role (40 hours per week) provides financial and admin support across accounts payable, payroll, reporting and documentation. You’ll work closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers to keep processes running smoothly and compliantly.  This is an office-based position at the McKay Head Office in Whangarei; the hourly pay rate is between $32.00 and $35.00 per hour depending on skills and experience. 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Process high‑volume accounts payable, payments, reconciliations and expense claims
  • Support payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Prepare and maintain financial and contract documentation, including Board papers
  • Assist with financial reporting, Excel‑based analysis and general administration
  • Respond to supplier, customer and internal finance queries and work collaboratively across teams

What You’ll Bring

  • 3+ years’ experience in a finance or finance‑aligned admin role
  • Strong skills in accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations and documentation management
  • Experience supporting large payrolls and managing supplier relationships
  • Confidence using NetSuite, payroll systems (MYOB/BizPayroll), and Excel (intermediate), BoardPro
  • High attention to detail, strong organisation skills, and a collaborative, professional approach
