The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with a bubbly personality, who is highly motivated, team focused, a great communicator and has a genuinely caring nature with a passion for women's health, to join our wonderful Auckland based team of fertility nurses.  The successful candidate will be caring for patients undergoing fertility procedures in our theatre.   This is a permanent Full Time (40 hours per week) position, with the occasional weekend rostered.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Work collaboratively to provide timely, proficient patient-centered services
  • Admission, recovery, discharge, care and monitoring of patient receiving sedation 
  • Work with embryologists and multidisciplinary team members who provide physical and psychological support to patients undergoing investigation and treatment for infertility  
  • Caring for patients in our theatre and recovery area 
  • Stock monitoring and control

Ideal candidate, skills and experience

  • Registered nurse who has minimum of 12-18 months of nursing experience in an acute setting. Theatre /procedure room experience is highly desirable. 
  • Positive personality, someone who is highly motivated, team focused and a great communicator. 
  • The ability to multi-task whilst providing warm, quality service.
  • Has a genuine caring nature and a passion for women's health.  

Must hold current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand.  Training will be provided.
