Makoha Rest Home is a privately owned boutique Rest Home level care facility located in Tauranga. It provides a warm, homely environment for up to 25 residents. About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and innovative Facility Manager to oversee the management at Makoha Tauranga.  This full-time role will see you guiding our teams, mentoring employees, and ensuring the highest care and service delivery standards. 

There are exciting new plans to commence the build of a new purpose-built hospital level wing and open additional rooms equaling a total capacity of 39 beds on completion.  In addition to this, we will be working towards certification for providing Hospital level care.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire teams and provide mentorship and support to staff.
  • Oversee clinical services, working closely with our Clinical Nurse Manager, ensuring quality care that meets Ministry of Health standards.
  • Collaborate with residents, whanau, and health professionals to enhance wellbeing.
  • Manage all aspects of Non-Clinical services, which includes kitchen, cleaning, laundry and maintenance services.
  • Maintain safe and welcoming environments.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A Registered Nurse with management / leadership experience in aged care.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to accept and overcome challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a pleasant and welcoming personality.
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and innovative approach to leadership and management.
  • A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
  • Quick learner who adapts to new situations with ease.
