Due to continuous growth, our Remanufacturing Department in Kennington, Invercargill is seeking ten hardworking individuals to join our team as Wood Machinists

Hours of work range from 36 to 50 hours per week, depending on the roster. The pay scale for this role is $26.00 – $35.00 per hour.

We are looking for Wood Machinists who are reliable, adaptable, physically fit, and have a positive attitude. We offer comprehensive training and ongoing support to help you succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material handling and machine operation to cut, plane, profile and paint wood stock to international and domestic customer specifications 
  • Active involvement in production lines
  • Setting up and running machinery across the remanufacturing plant
  • Performing quality control checks
  • Maintaining equipment and workspace

Requirements:

  • Excellent health and safety awareness
  • A great team player with a positive attitude
  • Full driver’s license or ability to secure one
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and full medical examination
  • Great references and a consistent work history
  • Three years’ experience in wood machining or operating industrial woodworking machinery 
  • A trade qualification in wood machining, timber processing, or a related field is advantageous but not essential; equivalent industry experience will be considered.
