Experienced Farm Assistant - 750 cows (Taupiri)
Our client is seeking a Farm Assistant for their 750-cow dairy operation located in Taupiri, approximately 20 minutes from Hamilton. The farm covers 234 hectares of flat, productive land and is equipped with modern technology and infrastructure, including Protrack and Halter, to support efficient farming practices.
Key responsibilities for the role include assisting with daily milking, supporting animal health checks, monitoring pasture and feeding tasks, performing general farm maintenance, and following compliance guidelines. Maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment is expected.
The team consists of a Farm Manager, two full-time staff members, and hands-on owners who are committed to achieving high standards. The position suits someone passionate about dairy farming, providing the opportunity to further develop skills in a farming environment focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
Accommodation is provided in a 3-bedroom brick house with a double garage. The location offers rural living close to Hamilton, with easy access to Auckland, Coromandel, and Bay of Plenty.
