About the role

As part of our Senior Leadership team, you’ll provide professional, executive-level support to the Chief Executive and work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to ensure the smooth and effective running of the Bank. This is a pivotal role where your ability to anticipate needs, manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement will enable our leaders to focus on delivering strategic outcomes.

You’ll be responsible for end-to-end diary and engagement management for the Chief Executive, executive-level administration, and governance support for SLT (and the Board where required). You’ll also provide leadership and day-to-day oversight of the Office Coordinator, helping to ensure high-quality, well-aligned head office administration services.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based at our Wellington Head Office, overlooking the waterfront.

You’ll bring the following experience to the table:

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as an Executive Assistant supporting a senior executive, ideally within a complex or governance-focused environment.
  • Exceptional diary, calendar and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and manage competing priorities.
  • Experience coordinating executive and governance meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes and follow-up actions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, discretion, sound judgement and a high level of attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook and Word, with working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Previous experience leading or supporting another staff member is desirable, but not essential.
