About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Evening Warehouse Supervisor to join our busy food distribution operation in Queenstown. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient day-to-day running of warehouse operations, while maintaining high standards of accuracy, safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all customer orders are accurately picked, packed, loaded, and dispatched on time, meeting service standards and delivery deadlines
- Oversee inwards goods processes to ensure all stock is received accurately and processed promptly
- Maintain correct stock rotation, storage, labelling, and warehouse replenishment practices
- Support the training, coaching and performance management of the warehouse team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role is preferred but experience in a similar food distribution warehouse environment will be considered
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control and health & safety practices
- Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25kg) and walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Forklift qualifications are desirable, but training and support provided if required.
This is a full-time role, the roster will require you to work weekends, with Tuesday and Wednesday off with a 3:30pm start and 12:00am approximate finish. Minimum of 30 hours per week guaranteed and maximum weekly hours are 60. The hourly rate is between $32.50 and $34.00 per hour depending on experience.
