The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced embryologist who has a friendly personality, are highly motivated, team focused, and great communicators. 

This a full time, permanent role (40 hrs per week) working Monday to Friday.  Successful candidate will be required to travel and work to our other clinic, in Hamilton, as and when needed.  This role will assist with covering weekends, on a rotating roster.

Key responsibilities 

Our highly skilled Embryology team work collaboratively to provide timely, proficient patient-centered services for all patients. Working with nurses and multidisciplinary team members, they provide a high standard diagnostic, treatment and support services for patients undergoing investigation and treatment for infertility with significant patient contact. 

Are you who we are looking for?  We are looking for an experienced embryologist (3+ yrs).  The ideal candidate will have a strong patient focus, enjoy working in a collaborative team, and a drive to continuously build on their knowledge to maintain and improve Fertility Associates' high success rates.

Ideal candidate, skills and experience

  • A postgraduate degree in biological sciences
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as an embryologist
  • Experience working in a small team
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a busy clinic across multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional organisational and prioritising skills
  • Strong technical skills with a high attention to detail
  • Proficient in all embryology procedures including embryo biopsy and oocyte cryopreservation
  • Excellent interpersonal and proactive communication skills.  Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • A positive outlook and is naturally optimistic.  
  • Mature in their manner and can approach a challenge pragmatically and with a solution-focus.
