ECE Teacher-in-Training (BestStart Oraha Rd)
About the Role:
We’re searching for a passionate Teacher in Training to join the 2–5 room at BestStart Oraha Road. Located in Kumeū/Huapai, our purpose-built centre draws inspiration from the nearby Riverhead Forest and offers a warm, friendly environment with a strong team culture.
We are looking for someone who brings a caring, enthusiastic approach to working with children, thrives as a positive team player, and is passionate about providing high-quality care and education. If you’re enrolled in a Level 7 ECE programme and have a love for teaching young children, we’d love to hear from you.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.

Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- Enrolment into a level 7 ECE Bachelor or Graduate Diploma course
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
