About the Role:
BestStart Birkdale is currently seeking a qualified and passionate teacher to join our dedicated team. As a well-established center deeply rooted in the community, we take pride in our strong team of teachers committed to providing a nurturing educational environment. With a focus on mentorship, learning, and development, we ensure a supportive atmosphere for professional growth.
The role involves a dynamic schedule, encompassing both opening and closing shifts, totaling 40 hours per week. If you are an enthusiastic and qualified teacher eager to contribute to the educational journey of young minds, we invite you to be part of our BestStart Birkdale community.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday.
Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher registration/certification
- Good understanding of child-led curriculum, planning and extending on our children's learning
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
