ECE Centre Cook (BestStart Primrose Street)
About the Role:
At BestStart Primrose Street, Aroha guides everything we do. It's how we connect with our whānau and tamariki, ensuring they feel safe and loved so learning can flourish. We are looking for a passionate Centre Cook to join our team, preparing nutritious, delicious meals for our children. This part-time role (25 hours per week) involves planning and cooking culturally diverse menus for morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. Role requirements:
Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- Knowledge around health and safety in the kitchen and set high standards of hygiene and housekeeping
- A passion for cooking and baking
- An understanding of allergies and dietary requirements
- Be computer literate in order to design menus and place orders each week
- The ability to remain within the budgets for ordering food
- A passion for promoting healthy eating for young children
