About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional, well‑organised, and approachable Centre Administrator to join our warm and welcoming team at BestStart Mt Wellington. This role is crucial to the success of our centre, helping us provide top‑notch care and education for our children while ensuring compliance with Ministry of Education regulations.

As the Centre Administrator, you’ll be the go‑to person for our whānau, delivering excellent customer service while managing bookings, data entry, and parent inquiries. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining accurate parent accounts
  • Processing direct debits, payments, and WINZ forms
  • Managing children’s attendance records
  • Supporting marketing and communications for the centre
  • Meeting daily, weekly, and term deadlines with precision

This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll need sharp organisational skills, attention to detail, and confidence with IT systems (Word, Excel, Outlook). You’ll also occasionally have the chance to interact with our tamariki, adding joy to your day.

You’ll be supported by our National Admin Support team, with strong procedures, training, and ongoing guidance to ensure you meet Ministry of Education requirements. A comprehensive induction program will set you up for success.

This is a permanent position working 32.5 hours per week Monday - Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm or 9am - 4pm)
