ECE Caregiver (BestStart Waihopai)
BestStart Waihopai is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Caregiver to join our close-knit team.
Located in Avenal, Invercargill, our small, welcoming centre provides education and care for children aged 2-5 years. With a mixed-age learning environment and smaller group sizes, we create a warm, home-like atmosphere where every child is known, valued, and supported to thrive.
About the Role
As a Caregiver, you'll work alongside our teaching team to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for our tamariki. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to make a positive difference every day.
You'll:
- Provide quality care and support to our tamariki
- Build positive relationships with children, whānau, and colleagues
- Support learning experiences and centre activities
- Contribute to a positive team culture and daily centre operations
Permanent position: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to accommodate school hours.
What We're Looking For
An ECE qualification is not required, but experience working with children under five and a genuine passion for supporting their learning and development is essential.
