About the Role: 

This position will be in our Seedlings room working with tamariki aged 2-5 years old. This room is a home away from home for our infants and toddlers where they are nurtured and cared for with respect and love. We believe that building strong and trusting relationships is essential to our children’s wellbeing, sense of belonging and learning. We begin to foster these relationships with our children and whānau through our primary caregiving practice where children learn to interact and build close relationships with others.

Reporting to our Centre Manager and working within a close-knit team you will be joining a dedicated team of Teachers who provide quality care and education to our tamariki.  

Here’s what you’ll do on a day-to day basis: 

  • Provide amazing care and education to our tamariki 
  • Champion the team spirit and engage in activities that empower and extend tamariki learning 
  • Fully participate in centre activities across all classrooms and cover staff breaks where necessary 
  • Support centre operations at all levels  

 This is a full-time permanent position, with the flexibility of being able to offer the right candidate 32-40 hours per week, over 4 or 5 days.

Role requirements: 

Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. An ECE qualification is not required for this role, but a natural affinity with children – especially infants and toddlers, and experience working with children under five is a must. You’ll also have a high level of initiative and an ability to take direction from others.
