At BestStart, we’re proud to be leaders in the early childhood sector, making a meaningful difference in the lives of tamariki every day. We provide high-quality early education and award-winning childcare for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, and we love what we do.

We’re now looking for a passionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our warm, energetic, and close-knit team at BestStart Salisbury Street. Our shared focus is simple: delivering quality care and education that supports every child to thrive.

A Homely City Centre Where Children Belong

Situated in the heart of central Christchurch, BestStart Salisbury Street is a welcoming, community-focused centre for children aged 3 months to 6 years. Our recently renovated spaces create calm, engaging environments across three well-designed learning areas.

We take pride in the strong relationships we build with our families and the diverse community we represent. Through everyday experiences, cultural celebrations, and whānau events, we support children to develop a strong sense of identity and belonging. Regular excursions to our local library provide meaningful opportunities to build early literacy skills and connect learning to the wider world.

Our centre blends the strength of an experienced, long-standing team with updated resources and modern learning environments. Our spacious outdoor area encourages children to explore, move, and grow in confidence in a safe and stimulating setting.
