ECE Caregiver (BestStart Roydvale)
BestStart Roydvale is looking for a passionate Caregiver to join our energetic and close-knit team on a fixed-term contract covering parental leave.

About the Role
As a Caregiver, you’ll have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of our tamariki by providing a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where they can learn, play and thrive.
Working alongside our Centre Manager and supportive teaching team, you will:
- Provide quality care and support to our tamariki
- Build positive relationships with children, whānau and your team
- Engage in activities that support and extend children’s learning
- Support across classrooms and cover staff breaks when needed
- Help with the day-to-day running of the centre
This is a fixed-term position from November 2026 to June 2027, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
About You
An ECE qualification is not required for this role, but you’ll need:
- A natural affinity with children, particularly infants and toddlers
- Experience working with children under five
- Plenty of initiative and a positive attitude
- The ability to take direction and work well within a team
- A genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young children
