About the Role
As a caregiver at BestStart Pleasant Point, you’ll play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our youngest learners. You’ll support tamariki to explore, grow, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
You’ll work closely with our Centre Manager and a dedicated team of teachers who are passionate about delivering high-quality care and education.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Providing exceptional care and education to tamariki
- Supporting and engaging in activities that extend children’s learning
- Participating across all classrooms and helping cover staff breaks
- Supporting centre operations as needed
This is a permanent part-time role, working 16 hours per week, Thursday and Friday, 8.30am–5.00pm.
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need an ECE qualification for this role, but you do need:
- A natural affinity with children—especially infants and toddlers
- Experience working with children under five
- Initiative, reliability, and the ability to take direction
- A genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of young learners
