BestStart Paraparaumu is seeking a passionate Caregiver to join our energetic and close-knit team. We’re committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and fostering a love of learning in our tamariki.
Our centre is conveniently located near shops and public transport, just a 5-minute walk from the beach. Our curriculum is localised and based around Te Rau-o-te-Rangi, ensuring our children thrive in a meaningful, culturally rich environment.

About the Role:
As a Caregiver in our ToeToe Room (2–3-year-olds), you’ll provide a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where curiosity, creativity, and exploration are encouraged. You’ll work closely with our dedicated team, supporting daily activities, covering staff breaks, and helping with all aspects of centre operations.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Provide exceptional care and education to toddlers
- Engage and empower tamariki through fun learning experiences
- Participate fully in centre activities and support team collaboration
- Support the smooth running of the centre
Role Details:
- Permanent, 30 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9am–3:30pm)
- Work in a vibrant, playful environment where learning is hands-on
Who We’re Looking For:
- A natural affinity with children under five
- Experience working with toddlers or infants
- High initiative and willingness to support team needs
- An ECE qualification is not required
