ECE Caregiver (BestStart Paraparaumu)
BestStart Paraparaumu is seeking a passionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our energetic and supportive team in the preschool room. About the Role
This is a permanent position, working 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 3.30pm.
As a Caregiver, you’ll play a key role in supporting the wellbeing, learning, and development of our tamariki. You’ll provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can explore, create, and grow. You’ll work closely with a passionate team of teachers and report to the Centre Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver nurturing care and learning experiences for tamariki
- Support centre activities and build strong relationships with children and their whānau
- Help maintain a positive, collaborative team culture
- Assist across classrooms as needed and provide cover during staff breaks
What We’re Looking For:
- A genuine love for working with young children, particularly infants and toddlers
- Experience working with children under five (an ECE qualification is not required)
- A proactive attitude and willingness to follow guidance
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
