Our beautiful, expansive outdoor area is central to our learning. Tamariki thrive through sensory play that connects them to Papatūānuku, gardening, and caring for their environment. Tuakana/teina relationships support respect, confidence, and manaakitanga.
About the Role
This permanent role is 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working primarily with our over 2’s in the Makamaka Room. This will be a set shift with a mix of working hours, the right candidate will need to be flexible with working times. You’ll join a dedicated team of Teachers and Caregivers providing high-quality care, supporting routines, and championing learning through play.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide amazing care and learning experiences for our tamariki
- Engage in daily centre activities and support staff breaks
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, and exploration
- Support the smooth running of the centre and contribute to a positive team environment
What We’re Looking For:
- A natural affinity with children, especially under 5s
- Experience caring for young children
- Enthusiasm, initiative, and a team-oriented mindset
- A desire to make a positive impact on children’s lives
- ECE qualifications are not required – this is a fantastic way to start your ECE journey!
