BestStart Melling is looking for a passionate and caring Caregiver to join our energetic, close-knit team. You’ll help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment where our tamariki can learn, explore and thrive.

Our purpose-built centre welcomes children aged three months to five years. The Nursery team works closely together, supporting one another with plenty of aroha and a shared commitment to our infants and toddlers. This is a permanent role working 24 hours per week across three days.

About BestStart Melling

Community connection is central to who we are. We have strong relationships with neighbouring businesses and enjoy regular excursions to local shops, cafés, medical centres, dentists, pet shops and retirement homes. We also welcome members of the community into our centre to share their experiences with the children.

These real-life experiences help our tamariki develop confidence, curiosity and a sense of belonging. We are proud of the rich cultural diversity within our centre and celebrate our unique cultures through regular events and shared experiences. Every family who joins us becomes part of our BestStart Melling whānau.

Working in partnership with kaiako, whānau, the community and tamariki, you’ll help create an inclusive and holistic learning environment where everyone feels valued and has a place.
