ECE Caregiver – New Year, New Opportunity at BestStart Marchwiel
Start 2026 with a rewarding role that makes a difference every day! BestStart Marchwiel is seeking a dedicated and caring team member to join our warm and community-focused centre on a fixed-term parental leave contract from January – July 2026, 27.5–30 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

With a strong ERO report, a small and tight-knit team, and meaningful relationships with our local residents, including monthly visits to Elloughton Gardens Rest Home, this is a role where you can truly make an impact.
About the Role
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about working with young children and who thrives in a positive, collaborative environment. This role is perfect for a caregiver who values purpose, relationships, and being part of a team that supports each other and the wider community.
You will help to:
- Create a warm, inclusive, engaging environment for tamariki
- Support children’s social, emotional, and developmental growth
- Build strong relationships with whānau and community partners
- Work closely with a small, dedicated team
- Support day-to-day centre operations, including staff break cover
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Brings genuine enthusiasm for working with young children
- Enjoys working collaboratively in a small team
- Values connection, belonging, and service to the community
- Shows initiative, energy, and professionalism
(ECE qualification not required – experience with children under five is essential)
