ECE Caregiver (BestStart Long Bay)
About the Role:
We are looking for a warm, nurturing, and reliable caregiver to join our team and support the wellbeing and development of our tamariki. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing a safe, caring, and engaging environment where children feel valued, respected, and supported in their learning.
As a caregiver, you will play a key role in fostering a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for young children. You will work closely with children, parents, and colleagues to support the emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development of children from infancy through preschool age. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for tamariki, fostering their love for learning, creativity, and exploration.
- Provide excellent care and education to tamariki
- Champion teamwork and support children’s growth through engaging activities
- Fully participate in centre activities across all classrooms and cover staff breaks when necessary
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in the Babies Room
- Communicate effectively with parents, keeping them informed of their child’s progress
You'll work closely with a dedicated team to support and empower young learners in our centre.
We have two positions available, both are permanent positions, 30 hours and 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Role Requirements:
- Natural affinity with children, especially infants and toddlers
- Experience in an ECE centre is ideal
- High initiative and willingness to take direction
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
