ECE Caregiver (BestStart Ferry Road)
BestStart Ferry Road is seeking a passionate Caregiver to join our energetic and close-knit team. We are proud to provide high-quality early childhood education for tamariki in our local community, with a strong focus on relationships, belonging, and inclusive practice.

About the Role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic individual to work across all age groups (0–5 years).
- Fixed term: July 2026 – December 2026 (covering parental leave)
- Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm

About You & the Role
As a Caregiver at BestStart Ferry Road, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where tamariki can learn, grow, and thrive. You’ll be part of a supportive team who are passionate about delivering quality care and education.
On a day-to-day basis, you will:
- Provide exceptional care and support to tamariki
- Contribute to a positive team culture
- Engage in activities that extend children’s learning
- Work across all rooms and support staff breaks
- Support the smooth running of centre operations
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with young children, especially infants and toddlers
- Experience working with children under five (essential)
- Initiative, reliability, and a willingness to learn
- Ability to follow guidance and work collaboratively
An ECE qualification is not required, but a natural affinity with children is a must.
