ECE Caregiver (BestStart Ferry Road)
Love working with tamariki and making a difference every day? BestStart Ferry Road is looking for a caring and dedicated Caregiver to join our warm, multicultural centre. With a strong focus on Celebrating Diversity, Belonging, and Early Literacy, our team of 12 passionate Kaiako brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and heart to our learning community.
As a Caregiver, you’ll support our tamariki across their developmental journey, nurturing strong relationships, creating inclusive spaces, and championing the values that make our centre unique.
About the Role
This is a permanent position, working 25 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
In this role, you will:
- Work alongside our 2-5 year old tamariki
- Provide exceptional care and support for tamariki
- Build trusting, positive relationships with whānau and colleagues
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment
- Uphold and model our centre philosophy and values
- Promote the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children
What We’re Looking For
- A caring, positive attitude and genuine love for tamariki
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A willingness to learn, grow, and support others
- Experience working with children under five (qualification not required)
- Initiative and the ability to take direction confidently
