About the Role
As a Caregiver at BestStart Faringdon East, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for our tamariki. You’ll work closely with our Centre Manager, teachers, and whānau to support daily routines, wellbeing, and positive development.
This is a hands‑on, full‑time permanent role (40 hours per week, Monday–Friday).
Your day‑to‑day will include:
- Providing exceptional care and support for our tamariki
- Engaging in activities that empower children and extend their learning
- Supporting centre routines across all classrooms
- Helping cover staff breaks and contributing to smooth centre operations
- Championing teamwork and positive relationships with colleagues and families
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with young children, especially infants and toddlers
- Experience working with children under five
- Someone who is caring, dependable, and enthusiastic
- A team player with initiative and a willingness to learn
- An ECE qualification is not required, but a natural affinity with children is essential
