ECE Caregiver (BestStart Bremner Rd)
About the Role
At BestStart Bremner Rd, we’re looking for an experienced and passionate Caregiver to join our warm, welcoming and supportive team. This is a 30-hour permanent role, Monday to Friday, where you’ll be an important part of our teaching team and contribute meaningfully to the learning and wellbeing of our tamariki.
We’re looking for someone who is confident taking an active role in the day-to-day life of the centre. You’ll work alongside our kaiako to provide warm, responsive care, support children’s learning and contribute to a positive and engaging environment.
As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to:
- Build strong, trusting relationships with tamariki and their whānau.
- Provide warm, responsive care and support children’s learning and development.
- Recognise and respond to children’s interests, strengths and individual needs.
- Contribute to planning, assessment and learning stories.
- Support centre priorities and contribute to team goals.
- Participate in team meetings and professional discussions.
- Be a positive, reliable and valued member of our teaching team.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who:
- Has previous experience working in an ECE centre with Infants and Toddlers
- Has experience caring for and working with children under five.
- Is confident contributing to planning, assessment and learning stories.
- Has a genuine passion for supporting children to learn, grow and thrive.
- Is warm, nurturing, responsive and respectful in their approach.
- Works well as part of a team and is flexible, resilient and willing to take initiative.
- Is committed to providing a safe, inclusive and engaging environment for tamariki.
