Positions: These are casual positions, working on an as and when required basis.
We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Casual Support Workers to join our team in Whanganui. You will demonstrate resilience, and the ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional in challenging situations. As a casual worker, you will have the freedom to pick up shifts that suit your lifestyle while supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and thrive.

Skills and Experience:

  • A Passion for People: Be patient, friendly, and kind, with the ability to understand, communicate, and genuinely connect with people
  • Experience: Must have 12 months minimum experience working in the Health Sector
  • Empathy & Understanding: An understanding of Enabling Good Lives principles.
  • Team Player: Professional, honest, and a reliable team-player with a flexible mindset.
  • Practical Skills: Assisting with personal cares, including showering and dressing, and grooming.
  • Household Management: Helping with cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
  • Community Integration: Supporting clients to attend appointments, shopping, or social outings.
  • Companionship: Providing emotional support and helping clients connect with their community. 
  • Driver Licence: A Full NZ Driver Licence is essential, as driving a MASH van      will be part of your role.
