Fixed-term, Full-time parental leave cover to December 2027

Bring customer data, marketing technology and thoughtful communications together to make banking feel more personal. We’re looking for a hands-on marketer who knows how to turn insight into relevant, well-timed customer communications.

About the role

As our Direct Marketing Manager, you’ll lead the delivery and continuous improvement of TSB’s direct marketing and marketing automation capability during a parental leave cover. You’ll shape and build lifecycle journeys across our digital touchpoints, helping customers get the right information and support at the right time.

This is a technical, data-led role as well as a customer-focused one. You’ll work hands-on in Marketo to plan, build, test and improve campaigns and automated journeys, using customer data and performance insights to make each interaction more useful and effective. You’ll partner closely with our Digital, Brand, Data and Analytics teams and stakeholders across the bank.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Plan and optimise lifecycle journeys across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention and re-engagement.
  • Build and manage Marketo campaigns and automated journeys, including audience selection, trigger rules and personalised content.
  • Create branded campaign assets and use TSB templates to build and update emails and landing pages in Marketo, coordinating approvals as needed.
  • Deliver customer communications for key projects, working with teams across TSB, to make sure messages are clear, accurate and timely.
  • Measure performance against agreed objectives, share results and recommend practical improvements.
  • Develop campaign ideas that support business objectives and customer needs, then test and learn what works.
  • Work with Data and Analytics to make effective use of available customer data and identify opportunities to strengthen segmentation and personalisation.
  • Work with TSB’s technology teams and partners to investigate Marketo issues, maintain data quality and keep the platform reliable.

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • At least five years’ experience in direct marketing, CRM or marketing automation with a strong understanding of customer lifecycle strategy.
  • Confident, hands-on Marketo experience, including building and improving automated campaigns and customer journeys.
  • A strong grounding in customer acquisition, re-engagement and retention.
  • Comfort working with customer data, segmentation and campaign results, and turning analysis into clear next steps.
  • Good judgement around customer communications, with strong attention to detail and a focus on doing what is right for customers.
  • Excellent relationship and stakeholder skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across technical and marketing teams.
  • Experience in financial services would be an advantage.
