Mō Tēnei Tūranga Mahi | About the Role

The Digital Marketing Advisor is a permanent full‑time role based in Hawke’s Bay, responsible for delivering effective digital and social marketing strategies that enhance EIT’s brand visibility, engagement, and online conversions, with a strong focus on the EIT website. The position supports domestic marketing priorities by translating high‑level strategies into targeted, channel‑specific digital activity.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $62,731 and $78,414, dependent on skills and experience.

The Digital Marketing Advisor, based within the Marketing team and reporting to the Marcoms Manager, will be responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering digital and social marketing strategies that strengthen brand visibility, engagement, and conversions, with a primary focus on the EIT website.
  • Translating overarching Marcoms strategies into channel‑specific digital plans, campaigns, and content.
  • Leading the planning, implementation, and optimisation of the website strategy to support marketing priorities.
  • Managing end‑to‑end delivery of digital campaigns, including performance tracking and optimisation.
  • Liaising with external suppliers (e.g., videographers) and developing creative briefs, concepts, and scripts.
  • Ensuring digital marketing activity aligns with organisational objectives and achieves measurable outcomes.
  • Operating autonomously while working under the guidance of the Marcoms Manager within the Marketing & Communications Directorate.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience maintaining websites and using CMS platforms and analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and email automation.
  • Demonstrated ability to create engaging social media content for business purposes.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and computer skills.
  • Experience in campaign delivery, performance reporting, and digital optimisation.
  • A passion for digital marketing and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A positive, proactive approach and strong attention to detail.
