About the role

Enjoy working on our diverse fleet including NZ’s first dual drive mobile harbour crane, container handlers, and heavy lift boat hoist, right here at our idyllic Port.

This is a hands-on role within our dedicated team, responsible for maintaining and repairing mobile plant to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, and available in a fast-paced Port environment.

You’ll gain exposure to specialised machinery and have the opportunity to further develop your technical skills while contributing to exciting projects.

What you’ll bring

  • Trade qualification in Heavy Diesel (or similar)
  • Strong experience working on heavy machinery (e.g. excavators, trucks, forklifts)
  • Sound knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with diagnostics and fault finding
  • Exposure to CAN bus systems (advantageous)
  • Good computer literacy
  • A strong commitment to health and safety
  • A team focused approach with good communication skills
